Introducing the Books of Father Jean-Marie Kuzituka Did'ho
Fr. Jean-Marie Kuzituka Did'ho is a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Johannesburg. He holds a Master's degree in Social Anthropology, and it is from these studies that his books are derived.
His first book "Christianity in a Cosmopolitan City" is a look at the creation of Cosmopolitan cities in South Africa as a result of the influx of people from the rural areas of the country, and more especially, from other African countries.
The book looks at what impact the Church can have on a growing and sometimes violent divide between locals and immigrants, and examines what the Scriptures have to say on the subject.
His second, book, "The Trial of African Solidarity" is a more in-depth look at the problem. In this book, Fr Jean-Marie takes "African Solidarity" to court in the light of the tragic xenophobic events that have unfolded in South Africa in the past number of Years.
All these books are available online, with the author himself, the editor and to some bookstores in Johannesburg.
